TASC and DECYP are seeking feedback in relation to a review of the current TASC Fees Regulations (the Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification (Fees) Regulations 2023).

The Regulations set the costs charged for various TASC services as well as the payments to sessional staff for the setting, critiquing, supervising and marking of external assessments.

There will be two opportunities to provide feedback:

  1. Review the Consultation Paper (PDF, 252KB) that provides an overview of fees in the current Regulations and outlines areas for proposed changes. There are general questions for feedback to be sent to edregpolicy@decyp.tas.gov.au by Wednesday 5 June 2024 – NOW CLOSED
  1. Proposed regulation changes will be developed based on the initial feedback and review of practices in related agencies across Australia. The draft proposals will be available for a second round of consultation before the end of Term 2 with a longer consultation period recognising the school term break – OPENING SOON

The period of consultation is to meet the legislative drafting timelines prescribed. We will be actively consulting with a wide range of stakeholders, from our Principal Reference Group through to previous sessional staff.

Please be aware that while TASC can make a representation about changing the Regulations, decisions on the Regulations are made outside of TASC.
