Tasmanian schools and college who are registered to deliver TASC-accredited senior secondary courses need to meet the 10 Standards for Providers including ensuring that internal assessments are fair, equitable and comparable.

Teachers can also use the Assessment Documentation: Self-Evaluation Toolkit for Teachers to check their plans for assessment, assessment tools and assessment records.

The Years 11 and 12 website (hosted by the Department for Education, Children and Young People) is designed to support the delivery of Year 11 and 12 courses and programs to learners across Tasmania.

As well as hosting curriculum support materials, the site keeps teachers and school leaders informed of developments and opportunities in the Years 11 and 12 sector, including learning opportunities, support for moderation and assessment and professional readings.

The site complements the TASC website, which has broader information regarding courses, assessment and certification.

Questions about the site contents can be sent to seniorsecondaryprovision@decyp.tas.gov.au

TASC has developed an information sheet to explain the reason for and use of criteria and standard elements in TASC accredited courses.

As part of the standards for providers, schools must have internal moderation policies and procedures to maintain the validity and integrity of senior secondary qualifications – see internal moderation.
