The Hungarian Extended Level Syllabus is designed for learners who have previously studied Hungarian for about three to four years (approximately 300 to 400 hours) at post-primary school level
However, learners with experience that differs from the above may also elect to study Hungarian at this level. A significant number of learners study Hungarian to communicate with the language community in Australia. Learners will have had various language learning experiences. The flexible nature of the syllabus enables the development of courses for all learners, including those who are interested in learning Hungarian as a second language.
